Our Story
As a pediatric dermatologist, educating patients about sun safety is an important part of my job. I'm so passionate about the topic that I tell parents wearing sunscreen is an essential part of their children's daily regimen, just like brushing their teeth. So I'm always happy when parents come into my office and ask about sun protection.
But when I began looking for products to recommend, I found many contained chemical-based sunscreens, additives, preservatives and fragrance, all of which can irritate children's sensitive skin. Many so-called children's products were the same as adult sunscreens, just camouflaged in kid-friendly packaging.
That's when I decided to create Dr. Robin's All-Natural Chemical-Free Sunscreen for Kids. Working with a manufacturer in southern California, I created an original, mineral-based SPF 30+ sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays.
Free of parabens, fragrance, phthalates, nanotechnology and unnecessary preservatives, extracts or additives, I'm proud of Dr. Robin's elegant formula and its special Quick-Fade Technology that ensures easy application without sticky residue. Add to that green tea, an anti-oxidant which boosts sun protection, as well as oat and quinoa proteins for soothing hydration, and you've got what I believe to be a superior children's product.
My hope is that in addition to offering a great sunscreen, I can be a resource for you and your kids about skin health. Everyone should still have fun in the sun but remember, protected skin means healthy skin.

About Dr. Robin
Dr. Robin is Robin Schaffran, M.D., a board-certified Dermatologist who has been treating parents and children in her Beverly Hills private practice for over 10 years. She is an attending staff physician at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and over the years, she has developed an expertise in caring for children's skin. She has lectured extensively on the subject of skin cancer prevention and has been quoted in publications like the "Los Angeles Times" and "U.S. News and World Report."
Dr. Robin was born and raised in Toronto and attended McGill University in Montreal. She went on to the University of Toronto Medical School where she graduated as a member of the Alpha-Omega-Alpha Honors Medical Society. After completing her Internal medicine internship at Beth Israel Hospital of Harvard Medical School, she finished her residency Dermatology training at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. Dr. Robin lives in Santa Monica with her husband and two children. Whenever possible, she relaxes in the shade under an umbrella or a tree.
